Inpatient Treatment

At Veterinum Ulcinj Veterinary Clinic, our inpatient treatment service provides specialized care for patients who require hospitalization, continuous monitoring, intensive treatment, or extended recovery under the supervision of experienced veterinarians and veterinary staff.

Just as in human medicine, hospitalization is intended for patients whose condition requires 24-hour observation and dedicated medical care. Our team closely monitors each hospitalized animal and provides the necessary treatment, medication, nutritional support, pain management, and other supportive therapies according to the individual patient’s needs.

Inpatient care may be required for animals suffering from:

• Traumatic injuries, such as car accidents or falls from heights

• Bite wounds

• Burns and injuries resulting from smoke inhalation

• Difficulty breathing

• Severe blood loss or anemia

• Difficulty urinating or inability to urinate

• Abnormal heart rhythms

• Poisoning or intoxication

• Serious neurological conditions accompanied by frequent, intense, or prolonged seizures

• Infectious diseases requiring specialized care and monitoring

Our hospital is organized into three dedicated departments:

• Infectious Disease Department

• Cat Department

• Dog Department

Each department is equipped with a dedicated oxygen chamber with an oxygen generator, allowing patients who require respiratory support to receive oxygen therapy in a controlled and monitored environment.

Throughout hospitalization, our veterinary team continuously evaluates the patient’s condition and adjusts treatment according to their progress. This close monitoring allows potential complications to be recognized quickly and appropriate action to be taken when necessary.
